I think you're going to struggle to find any indy in Kent who knows TVR's. One of the few used to be in Littlebourne, on the site of Ackrill's, who used to be a TVR main agent years ago, but it now looks like they've moved and are Lotus specialists. Let me know if you come across one
BTW, what sort of minor work do you need - I've used a place near Maidstone for straightforward stuff on the Wedge?

I need a new alarm system (Walldonway are able to do for £500, and I was hoping to find cheaper), I am gradually losing clutch fluid somewhere and my radiator fans don't work. Already checked the fuse and changed the otter switch to no avail.

I see from your profile you've got a 4.3BV. Basically the same lump in mine, with a bit more tweaking. I'm not familiar with much of the Griffs. but most clutch fluid leaks will tend to be the result of wear in the master cylinder - have a look a look at the bulkhead in the footwell where the cylinder is bolted through - chances are there may well be signs of fluid there and running down the actuating rod to the pedal. Easy to change, although access on the Griff. looks less easy as you have to go through the inspection hatch. As for the fans, even though the otter switch is new, try shorting the leads together, which should actuate the fans. If it does, the switch is duff. If not, try replacing the relay(s) for that circuit. Also check that the motors are not seized. Not sure about the alarm - Waldonway probably outsource that type of work to a specialist anyway. Try checking local alarm cos. for anyone familiar with TVR's?

They WERE a great outfit, but Nick Law (the owner) got out of the business about a year ago. However, their rolling road went to a classic car specialist in Tonbridge, and is operated on a freelance basis by Simon Crook who used to work at Discovery, so is very familiar with the RV8. There is a place down in Goudhurst, sports and "specialist" car specialist. As in whenever I pop by has C-Types, D-types, Astons and Porsches in. I asked if they ever do any TVRs and the guy said yep they have a smallish clientele who give their TVRs to them aswell as their other stuff.
Very very interesting place. His dad has the Classic and vintage Bentley and Rolls garage down the road!

They just pull out. Will only go back one way due to pin configuration. Try substituting one of the same type that you know works from another circuit. And try the possibly duff one in a circuit that was known to function. Ignition will obviously need to be on after swaping relays for the bridging check.

Thanks no.7 Tried swapping relays, but no success. Meanwhile, someone has passed me the number of someone in High Halden. Not exactly local, but I will give him a try.
