Hants and Dorset Fast Runs ?

Any fellow TVR folk in the area who like to stretch the legs of their pride and joy in a fast but of course legal way

Evening meets and fun runs are OK but looking for a little bit more, to fill the time between track days and Tunnel Runs

Anyone up for an early jaunt occasionally ?

Hi Andy,
Maybe a bit too far east for you, but occasionly us gentle Sussex folk do a run to The Pheasant, situated just east of Salisbury on the A30. This has been both a lunch time run and a brekki run.
Both the A272 and the A30 are seriously quick roads (always within legal speed limits), you'll be more than welcome to join us on the next one.

Cheers Derek,

I know the 272 pretty well as I occasionally pass down there slowly on my FZR 1000.

Can always hook up with you en route for a little play, and if brekkie is on the cards then make that a definate.

Brakes may need sorting prior though as the little 240mm's do struggle after two or three uses. (upgrade in hand. hopefully)

You are more than welcome to join us in any run we have, It tends to die off a little bit
this time of the year, i am arrange a "Cold war run" very soon, may even be this Sunday?
Then the next "biggie" will be our now traditional post X-Mas run in late December, keep an eye out on the forums Or do what i did and start your own run you will get a few of us if the weathers good

the xmas run is perhaps a little too oversubscribed to be considering a fast run though, as enjoyeable as it is. Its usually some of the smaller get togethers that you and Harry run that are a little more, erm, rapid.

BTW who was it who lost the rear end while overtaking another TVR which was already travelling at warp 3?

This seems to be in line with my thinking

Half a dozen cars or so I think would be ideal

It may help to know roughly where any interested parties live so as to plan meeting points / routes

Maybe a list people cars location and ideal frequency/total duration (incl nosh or coffee)to get an idea

Have seen a dark green Griff 500 around West Southampton a few times recently. Anyone any ideas if he's a PH'er ?

I will be adding to the Dorset Dawdle series in the near future as I will be heading back south for a bit. Usually posted under South Coast and/or events. Try a search for previous outings - speeds are usually appropriate for the road and 30/40/50 limits ALWAYS observed. There is a chance I will assume the mantle of organising the runs for the Dorset TVRCC area after a lull of 2 years.

Watch out Dorset the flying flat cap is coming back !

I will be resident in Hampshire and Yorkshire so it probably wouldn't be allowed. Wouldn't stop me from organising a few runs though.
