Isle of Wight TVR mystery!!

According to our local paper the TVR Car Club are having a rally to Newport Quay, Isle of Wight on Sunday 16th October.

I knew nothing about this, so spoke to Clive F in Cowes who was similarly in the dark. Anyone know anything about this?

(I know I should be posting on the TVRCC site but I can't access it at the moment)

You may be right - there is a vintage bus day on at the same time - I don't think we qualify as an open top bus though!

I checked with the museum in Newport who are providing parking and refreshments and they checked their diary and confirmed that they are booked by the TVR Car Club.

The plot thickens....

Nothing that has passed through me and there seems to be nothing in the events diary...could be a local meet organised solely in a region by an RO?

Some of you will know that i work very closely with Craig(cerber450 Hants RO)arranging meets/events and im not aware on any HantsTVRCC involvement, however i was approached LAST year about doing an event on the Island, but never heared anything back.

Mystery solved - it was a misprint, it should have read TR Classic car club (Triumphs or some such)

Thanks to Clive F for saving me a wasted trip by turning up early and then phoning to warn me off. Apparently there were lots of men with beards photographing buses, and writing down reg no's

I am clivefs brother in law, S2 owner and we both went to the so called TVR show. Well the County Press advertised it as such, imagine the scene, country bumpkins ogling buses and tractors when two brash and loud tivs burst on to the scene. Did we feel out of place, quite comical.
