Respray......How much??

Anyone got a rough estimate on how much an all over respray will set me back on a Chimaera??

Laquer is peeling at the back and the front is more than a little chipped!!!

About 2K depending on where you get it done.

I've had quotes from £1100 to £3500 ! depends where you go...

Whoever preps it using masking tape will be the cheapest, (less than £500 round my way)

I had mine done at Ewelme, a company comes to remove the rear window etc etc, costs a tad more

They should be able to give you an idea over the phone.

it's mainly the bonnet, wings and boot that need doing, so I reckon a masking tape jobby may do it along as long as it's done well. Obviously the cheaper the better. Basically I'm just prepping it for sale.

I think a lot depends on colour. For a reasonably easy matchable colour a front end respray is about £1k inc VAT, so a full one would be around £2k
