Melling cars

So whats all this I hear about Mr Melling building his own cars in Rochdale with Rover K-series engines (1.8), and possibly making a move on TVR as well?

To the best of my knowledge, yes he is building a sports car (been in development for some time now), but it's certainly going to be more than a 1.8 litre motor!

As for "making a move on TVR" he's previously said that he's no interest in doing so.

At the recent Al Melling talk on engines, he did say that he was developing two cars, one fitted with an 8 cyl and one with a 12, he also gave an indication as to the price of each of the cars.

Nope.
He's got bored of racing the Aston.

He wants to build a brum brum again. I know a little more, but not a lot and Im not sure in how much confidence I was told nor the exact veracity of the info. When/if I know anything a little more concrete Ill let on.

Mr Melling is producing a basic car in at £21000 and a 'supercar' in at £90000

Of the latter he says......“It is horrendously fast and awesomely powerful. It is also the cheapest supercar in the world.”


Will be interesting if the Typhon and the Monos Supercar comes out at the same time..........
