Normally I wouldn't post anything like this, but I feel this requires special attention:

Of course, you can't take it for granted that the description is accurate, but if it is, who on earth would be daft enough to overtake at high speed on a wet surface, probably with their foot planted?

Not with foot fully planted but an overtake in the wet is not really that scary. Would you not overtake in the Chim in the wet ?

All depends on road conditions and visibility. I have had the Tusc step out a couple of times but not managed to lose it yet but I may make a mistake one day.

I did in the dry! Believe me...you've only got to drop your guard for a second
