Hi guys,

Im struggling to get a bite on these 4 bolts. Its secure only by the silicone. Any ideas how a can secure?

Do you mean the screws are too short, or the threads have stripped?

I think the threads stripped. Its a replacement cover and didnt think to check threads.

Any chance longer screws would find un-stripped thread? A better solution would be to fit thread inserts.

In that case your best bet would be to remove the cover, and take it to any decent local engineering shop to fit thread inserts - or do it yourself if you're confident of your ability. Preferably take the plate the screws will be securing with you to show what the exact hole spacing is.
