Hello All.

I trust we have all filled in the dislaimers and await the link for MSV Briefing.

I shall be travelling up on Tuesday afternoon and staying in a Premier Inn for the night.

Weather is forecast for perfect TD conditions. So I'm throwing on the 16's with the TD tyres tomorrow along with general check over and prep.

Porterpainter - your welcome to join me in my garage if you haven't booked one.

See you all there biggrin

Thanks Stewart - looking forward to Wednesday for sure.

I’ve booked a garage for myself this time. I’ll ask the club if we can share the same double garage - what’s your surname so I can get the right space?

We’re about an hour further north from Oulton, but there’s a spare room here if you want rather than the Premier Inn (either night before or after).

I’m guessing @phazed can’t make this one after all?

Yes looking forward to it, hopefully the forecast remains good.

I have never driven Oulton at anything faster than parade lap speed so should be fun.

See you gents there thumbup

Hello Andy.

Surname is Catley for the garage Rumba.

Thanks for the offer of a bed. I politely decline though as I may get delayed leaving here if work goes as it normally does biggrin and I can roll in to the PI at 'any time'. I'll drive straight back on the day as I my daughter has an inset day on Thursday and we have some PV to install.

Phazed has just been on a 10-day tour down in the SW so driving anopther couple of days didn't appeal. We are booked on to Mallroy Park on the 29th of August if you fancy it. Also considering a sneaky Bedford in September - just need to check dates. We're both booked on to Cadwell as well.

Itchy feet at this point, (aided by a couple of glasses of vino).

I know the day is full but will contact the office tomorrow…

No worries Stewart, I get it’s much more convenient/flexible to be at the hotel smile

Very tempted for the 29th Aug as well, will have to move some work meetings around for it.

Good stuff Peter. There was a post on the TVRCC website at the end of last week saying one space has come up.

Looking forward to it!

I haven’t done Oulton Park before. As much as I would love the experience, common sense has prevailed. A 420 mile round-trip plus an expenditure of a minimum of 500 pounds has brought me to my senses.

I’ve booked Cadwell Park and look forward to that after two Track Days. I have already booked next month. If you can make the 29th at Mallory with Stuart and me, that would be great.

By the way, there is still one place left as stated above and is available now.

Have a great time on Wednesday guys, I’m jealous!

But Oulton is a brilliant track.
It’s also in a lovely setting.

I remember watching the Ginetta juniors hammering round there and realised my career was effectively over when 14 year old boys can drive so fast. hehe

I know, I know Alun. Next year!. What makes it worse we have our granddaughter all day tomorrow and she’s a nightmare! Just two years old and has more energy than you and me put together. biglaugh

Would love to get my new to me, project Porsche on this track, but it will have to be another day. It’s Measley 265 BHP would work well with the TVR‘s, can’t do everything.

Tell me about it. I have an eight year old granddaughter who is wonderful but I can’t afford her and a Tvr. One has to go biggrin

Wheels fitted. Picked up my new, rear number plate bracket today.

My departure has been delayed so won't be heading off until 6:30ish tomorrow evening. Should be back home from meetings at 2pm so will pack the car, fit the number plate and get my hair cut in a leisurely manner.

Sorry you won't make it Peter but it sounds like the sensible choice if you've been busy.

Safe travels to everyone heading up today or tomorrow to Oulton...weather's looking perfect biggrin

Thanks. I also have two Track Days booked up in August and two in September including Cadwell Park with the TVRCC.

Hopefully, my 986 which I have been working on will still be in one piece by then. biggrin

Have a great day guys. Weather looks perfect. Very jealous!

Never mind, there are hedges to trim in the garden, almost as satisfying. frown

Great day at Oulton today. Weather was a bit of a let down for the last 1.5 hours with some unexpected rain but decent conditions prior to that.

Good standards of driving all round and very few incidents.

It was nice to see so many familiar faces, hope you all had good journeys home!

Looking forward to Cadwell!!

Yep agreed, great day, shame that rain came, and quite a lot, at the end of the day.

Got a yearning for Cadwell now!

Good to hear that you guys had a good day, shame about the rain but in my experience most people have ended their track time before the end of the day.

Cadwell is always great, looking forward to it thumbup
