MOT and service time.

Last year one of the CATs was starting to break down. A year of touring and trackdays is unlikely to have improved it.

From a penny pinching point of view, would replacing only the damaged CAT with one of Clive F's Sport CATs cause a running issue? The O2 sensors are pre CAT so my [none mechanic] brian thinks not.

I'd guess there's an outside chance you'd notice the difference when driving but less than the added back pressure of the melting cat.

If just a question getting it through the MOT just get them to test the good side

I assume they mix in the back box so there may not be a 'good side'

Of course it's a different set up to the Tuscan, apologies.
Last resort I have a spare I can loan for the MOT but the hassle of getting it on and off may not be worth it.

Clive F has a set of 2 & 1/8" on the shelf. Just need to double check exhaust size.
