There was one silver tuscan. I saw it at the startpoint. Maybe the tiv driver turned out to be more sensible. Thats why we didn't see it.

Didn't see any of the TV coverage etc., but I did read an article about last years Gumball, (in the Times I think). These donuts give drivers of performance cars a bad name. It worried me, having read about the mayhem (e.g. cars travelling at well over 100 MPH up the hard shoulder of a very busy autobahn) that the French traffic cops would be busting our balls on the way to Le Mans. Thing is, I never like to have total belief in everything I see in the press . Does anyone know what actually goes on? Marcus & Ocean Haze Griff 500

Funnily enough, no TVRS''s. Hmmm wonder why? Maybe, coz we''d whip their butts.
Nahh - they'd never get there....

>>>Still made me smile when one plonker left the road at 150mph in his 355 spider, barrel rolled across a field and totally trashed his car. Somewhat annoying that he and the co pilot walked away with cuts and bruises, as Im sure they should have broken something. <<< i take it the 355 rag top has driver and passenger air bags, im not so sure id walk away from barrel rolling the chim at 150 that was the one with the l1oony reg wasnt it..

I saw the remains of a drivers airbag, but couldn't say for certain whether there was a passenger one. Anyone know...that was a hell of a distance he covered, considering it barrel-rolled three times, I thought it held together very well. Yea, the white one, that undertook the lorry, at high speed. Yeah, the white 355 spider had both driver and passenger airbags. Crucially it also has some roll protection in the A pillars, distinctly lacking in the Griff and Chimaera - I suspect that's the main thing which saved the occupants from serious injury. Scary footage though - the same 355 made a blind overtaking manoeuvre earlier in the programme, missing an oncoming coach by about 6 inches. Pete

They were all completely mad, mad and rich, f*cking mad and f*cking rich. Apparently the L100NEY 355 driver has taken a mate of mine out for a drive (not a barrel roll I might add) in an M3 and he is a "fruit loop". I wouldn't mind seeing more footage of it though, after all the cars were built to be driven, albeit not around other people. I also think that Vic Reeve's mate was a bit of a tw@t as I am sure he hasn't changed his ways. "Poor people washing their hands in public". That w@nker trying to chin Vic Reeves made me laugh as does Damon Hill's hair everytime I see it.
