Spanish tour and Trackday

For passed two years Jasper Gilder has arranged a tour for TVR owners to Spain with a Trackday in the middle. The 2006 tour is in the planning stage, we need 10-20 cars to enable discounts for the ferry.

The Itinerary is as follows

Following the very successful tours of Spain in 2005 and 2006, and by
popular demand we are off again!! This time there are a few extra days
- as requested!!
We leave portsmouth on 1 April for Bilbao and the drive to Siguenza
(NE of Madrid) - a hilltop castle converted into a hotel by the
Spanish Parador Hotels. From there we drive to Manazanares, a wooded
valley halfway to the coast, where we again stay in the Parador. The
next day takes us to the Hotel Forestal el Sonorio de Rias (the forest
hotel with the sound of rivers). The hotel is located in the foothills
of the Sierra Granada and we stay there for three nights.
Included in the trip is use of the Circuito de Guadix - but we aren't
having just one track day - we're having two track mornings. This puts
less pressure on the cars and drivers, and gives a more relaxed
atmosphere. The track event will be run by Clive Greenhalgh who is the
circuit owner. The circuit is run to UK standards and we inted to
operate an open pit lane. In the afternoons there is much to
see.....the Alhambra in Granada, it will still be possible to ski in
the Sierra Nevada and the ambitious can go to Tangier for lunch.
From Guadix we go to the ancient University town of Merida and stay at
the Parador. Merida has the best preserved Roman remains in Spain.
After Merida, we do a short hop to Trujillo where we stay in a
converted 16th century convent. The next day we do another short run
to Oropesa and stay in a castle with fantastic views over the
Castillian plain. We spend our last night at the Parador de Santillana
- just outside Santander. We embark the ferry on 12 April and reach
Portsmouth on 13 April.
The trip includes all hotel accomodation, breakfast and dinner at the
Paradors, ferries and track day and is expected to cost £1800 for
car and two passengers.

I've just had a new radiator to avoid a "Gray" situation.
True, ture .... Least your hearing will have a rest next year!
The car <b>seems</b> to be OK at the moment. The other half has a Ride Drive Course this month so it will need to go into Austec for a check up. Not sure if I should take it in before or AFTER her drive!
As for an engine for Spain ... No idea!
