I have my TVR on a limited mileage policy - 6k per year.

I got the new Tuscan in March and I love it and have driven it at every opportunity, and I took it to France in July.

Subsequently I've just about done my 6000 miles and its only August. :(

Quick phone call to Aaron at Sunninghill and its all sorted. Mileage limit extended to 10k for this year. Additional cost - NIL. (I had my credit card ready!!)

 Big up to Sunninghill. Excellent service as usual.

Go for it Speak to aaron. Hes a good lad, reads PH, knows what we all get up to

Last year, I had several mods which should have cost extra... non standard alloys, rechip and rolling road etc. He put them all through without increasing the premium. Sunninghill are good all rounders with the personal touch that the bigger companies will never have, well worth it! Even if they were a little more expensive. Which they arnt!

I shall speak to them in May. Sadly the cost of putting my Griff on the road this year was too much for me and I don't plan on driving it in the winter. By the time the weather perks up I only have to wait a month or so until I'm 25 and I can look forward to sub £1100 insurance quotes.

yeah right...

27, 9 years NCB, no points or convictions, and the Chim costs me £1100 a year with Sunninghill and they were the cheapest.

On a minor tangent, Sunninghill have been so much better to deal with than previous insurers I have used. A massive Thank you to Aaron who added the misses to the policy whilst we were away and realising I was abroad said he'd call me back when it was done - and he did.

Cheers Aaron.

Only doing it so your premium goes up and you will have to sell the Castle in the country.

The 'post 25' thing is a bit of a myth. Thats just when (in theory) your insurance's highest loading is not primarily on your age.

If you really want to save money on your insurance, get married. Seriously, as soon as I was getting quotes on 'insured and spouse' my premiums even on our standard Focus, dropped like a stone. My wife has a claim against her (theft claim, but they go against you as there is no 3rd party for the insurance company to recover the loss from) and we both have 3pts and its STILL cheaper to have her on the policy than not.

I know getting married to reduce your insurance premiums is a bit drastic, but just how much to you love that TVR?? Ha ha.

I reckon my renewal terms for next year should be very favourable when Aaron reads this.

On the other hand they did get Oxbow because of it.

I'll second and third anything said positively about Sunninghill.

Way over and above anyone else I've ever dealt with before.

Big thumbs up

Wow the lengths some people will go to for cheaper insurance. Don't forget, wives are expensive too.

I`m 26, 7 years NCB, no points or convictions and the chim costs me £700 a year with sunning hill. Although that is limited mileage. Sunninghill are a very good company in my experience, very helpful.

Nice to know. I've just changed to them 'cos of the track day cover being loads better than my previous insurer, even though they were (gasp) £7 more expensive.

Next year I should have 2 years NCB (so still a long way from full!) A quick check on their computers and they reckon insurance on the cerb will be less than your chim. Mine isnt garaged, im also still in my 20's. And I have business use. And unlimited milage IIRC
