New 280s owner - couple of questions :)
Discussion
Hi all I've just bought a tvr 2.9 1989 albeit registered as a 280s? V5 states its a 2933cc but is classed as a 280s (I understood the 2.8 were 280s and 2.9 were 290s though??) Maybe a cross over period?
Was it just the engine that changed or maybe some body mods too hence it remained 280s despite being a 2.9i engine in mine?
Also what car were the front brake discs / pads & calipers off on the s1 & s2 models please?
Thanks

Welcome. TVR were notoriously poor at getting the cars registered correctly, so don't worry about it being the wrong model on the V5, loads of them are.
On the main page you'll find a 'useful links' link which has a couple of versions of parts lists which should be useful. Brakes are Sierra so generally easily available or use one of the TVR parts supplier (Motaclan or Racetech) for more specific TVR choices.
If you are on Facebook, there is an active 'S series' owners/fans group which is were most of the regular discussion is these days, but pistonheads has a huge resource of older information which can be searched.
