Following the sad loss of Ian at TorqueRVT, I'm now looking for a new TVR centre. weeping

Would be grateful for any advice.
Cheers,
Tony.

Track V road in Clitheroe, have been very helpful to me. Ian Wilson is TVR trained and did my original servicing from new at HL Gorner, until setting up with Craig, back in 2009?

Find one you're happy with. Then put the effort in to travel there.

I use Mat Smith in Downham Market and live in Lewisham.

Another vote for Track V Road. I live in Staffordshire and happily take my T350 there every year. I’ve been going there since they opened and always had great service. My car came from Gorners in Wigan, so I wanted continuity. There are quite a few specialists within an hour or so of north Cheshire OP, have a look online or check the TVRCC, I’m sure you will find one that suits your needs.

I was in the same position as you Tony, as my Tuscan has gone to Ian and Rach since I bought it.

I was recommended Heath and Paul at X Works, and used them for the first time last week. Super nice blokes and a top job, so I’d certainly recommend them.

Another nod for X Works: nice chaps and found a few issues that Ian had missed previously, bless him. Their labour rate is also lower than anywhere else I’ve seen.

Small added bonus of the motorways up that way having no speed cameras (that I noticed!).

Incidentally, does anyone know what’s happening to TorqueRVT..? I thought it might be an opportunity for a TVR specialist working elsewhere to set up one their own, with a customer base already in place.

I suppose Rachel probably has other things on her mind at the moment…

I need to call Rachel as I need to collect some of my stuff from the Garage.
Will ask her what is happening to the place.

THANKS FOR ALL OF THE REPLIES beer

I used X works a couple of times and never again, 2 mistakes they made were bordering on amateurish

Central in Kingswinsford I have travelled to and couldn't fault the work done

That's Andy Nicholls. I've known him years and started going there soon after he started on his own in 2021. It was Sedgley when he was operating from home and it still says Sedgely on some addresses but I'd say it's actually Brierley Hill!. Anyway, here is his website:

There's FB too:

I've had 18 years of TVR ownership dealing with Heath&Paul (XWorks) and that's the first negative comment I've heard tongue out

I have heard a couple more stories. I was just really bummed off that they would not fit the sump plug properly after an oil change leaving me with no oil when I got home 60 odd miles later and that the silicone hose kit was fitted so that there were folds in it blocking any flow to the radiator. I had it refitted by someone else in what was a perfect way who couldn't believe how badly it had been fitted by them. And they weren't cheap

So for me that was amateurish
