Preferred Specialist Near Bristol
Discussion
I've been away from the marque for over a decade, but very soon to return.
I'm looking for recommendations for servicing a Tuscan, near Bristol/Glos.
In the past, i've used a local(ish) specialist but that mistake sent me to a far superior provider near Oxford.
I'd prefer to stay closer to home, but happy to travel, if that's still the best option?
Also happy to receive any negative referrals via PM!

Neil Garner at Kemble is the usual reply (middle of nowhere though!)
I've heard that they will no longer be doing TVRs going forward. It's now called Kudu.Amore do have an excellent resident mechanic that several lads use. I've only heard of very positive feedback.

I'm in the next village so that could be a very good shout. Amore do have an excellent resident mechanic that several lads use. I've only heard of very positive feedback.

That would have been handy enough had he not been shutting down the TVR side of the operation. Edited by Azzurrinick on Thursday 27th April 13:35

Shame as previously I was a strong advocate for the quality of their work when Neil Garner was there, but they lost a number of their quality engineers when NG went racing again, and more when the business was sold.

PH rules which means one cannot report issues, problems with quality of work or the issues I had etc. All I think I can say is that no one local takes their TVR there anymore. It's no longer NG after Neil sold the business when he moved abroad

Steve,
I like Mark at Amore, but as stated, he doesn't have a resident mechanic team.
I'm hoping to move to Shaftesbury in the next couple of months and I'm looking at Colin Apps near Wellington - TVRSSW.

Another recommendation for Colin Apps @ TVRSSW in Wellington. Always looked after my Griffith. Very knowledgeable and makes a great coffee, for the times I spent chatting/distracting to him while he worked.
Agreed I take my Sag to TVRSSW every year for its annual service. Highly recommended.Gassing Station | General TVR Stuff & Gossip | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
