On the three V8 Wedges I've had, the main connection to the oil housing was 1/2 BSP, but it then reduced down to a tee type unit, with oil pressure gauge sender and oil warning switch coming off that at 1/8 BSP. Engines were standard 3.5l, 3.9l and 4.5l V8s, so not the 4 litre unit.
