I took the badge off the front to see if I could improve it. Had some black touch up paint and thinned it so it would pool a little then cleaned it off with thinners on a pad. Think it looks pretty good. I polished it first then thoroughly cleaned it with panel wipe. [url]

Nice job, looks great!

I sent them away with some new seals and pistons to be refurbed. I didn't want them too blingy so went for a gunmetal grey - they came back looking like this:



A few months ago I had to take them off to fit springs behind the pistons, so took the opportunity to paint the TVR logo, which turned out to be surprisingly easy.

Here is one just after painting:



My method was to syringe a blob of paint into the recesses and steer it to the edges with a cocktail stick. I then put the calipers in the oven at 90c for 20 minutes. Results below...







Edit: can't remember what the refurb company wanted to charge to do this, but it was a lot!
