as a new owner of a Chim I need not just a service centre but someone with real knowledge on how to set these cars up properly. Any recommendations for Salisbury or Hants?
I like the look of Purbeck near Poole, and they also get good recommendations from the Lotus owners.
TVR101 website doesn't mention geo or set up.
Racing Green & Kudu nearby too.

update to my own post:
Neil Garner has left Kudo, so unsure of their credibility.
Str8six aren't too far away, they might be the experts I'm seeking?

Is it wandering around on the road? What's the tyre situation? Proper modern tyres and all nicely matched?

Any professional tyre place ought to be able to deal with alignment for you. Hopefully any problem you have isn't a bent chassis.

If the back's trying to overtake the front - congratulations, you own a TVR!

TVR101 do mention plenty of chassis refurbs. Fairly certain they don't just slap the wishbones back on. laugh They also go racing. So, I think they have the tools and expertise.

My recommendation would be go to Mat Smith Sports Cars but that is not in the area.

I’d travel for the expertise personally, Mat smith would be where I’d head.
No experience of using but just what I’ve found doing my own research.

You need someone who knows TVR's in my opinion.
1. They will know the settings, garages more familiar with more modern cars won't find the data in their computer.
2. They will know how the rear adjusters work and how best to free them off if seized (which they probably will be).

Mat Smith is certainly worth talking to. It's a fair journey for you but there are not too many specialists around now who have a good reputation for doing what you need.

For the geo part alone I used Centre Gravity in Atherstone. Again a good run to Atherstone but worth it if you can justify the time. They are close to a rail station and assuming the train drivers are not on strike you could drop the car off and get a train home, leaving it with them for a day or two. What they managed to achieve in a day is incredible and quite possibly the best 'upgrade' I have ever done to any car. They transformed my Tamora from a twitchy beast to a sure-footed and predictable handling car. No new shocks or springs were required and kept the new but standard Bilsteins/Eibachs the car had on already but with the addition of the adjustable spring bases so it could be properly corner weighted.

All the alignment was within TVR tolerances but just wrong for a high powered lightweight car.

No idea if he is any good though as I don’t have a TVR. This post came up the what new thread.

Neil Garner was never part of Kubu, it's what it changed to after Neil Garner Racing was bought out. I'm not allowed to say why under PH rules but myself and several other owners chose to go elsewhere now.

Some of the Wiltshire members use Westover TVR, or Lloyds for the Rover V8 cars

Some go to TVRSW - but thats a little far maybe?

If you can get to Str8six then i would book in there, they've done the suspension geometry on several of my TVR's now and they all drive superbly afterwards. it takes them a good few hours so you knows being done properly, and you get a before and after print out showing all the settings. i won't go anywhere else!

I would give TVR101 a ring first before booking hotels and train tickets.
