PARTS FOR TVR TRANSFER OF OWNERSHIP
As many of you will be aware Racing Green have now sold their stock of TVR parts o XParts. Contact arrangements remain the same. While I confess I consider moves regarding support for classic TVR's to be very worrying, we will have to see how XParts manage. In particular whether it is financially viable to increase the range of parts, or whether it will reduce as stocks decline. The following is the email I have received;
Change of Ownership of Parts for TVRs
Dear Richard
This is to let you know that we have today sold our inventory of parts for TVR cars to XPart Ltd, a well established supplier of automotive parts for classic British marques. We are very confident that XPart will continue to provide to provide a professional and expert service, and they look forward to doing business with you in the future. We will be separately emailing you with the option to opt in to future communications from XPart, and of course we will not transfer your details to them without this express consent.
All contact details for ordering parts for TVRs will remain the same as before, ie:
Phone: 03333 237877 Email: enquiries@partsfortvrs.com
Website: partsfortvrs.com
Please note however that XPart will be using next week to transfer all stock to their own warehouse, and therefore it will be September 26th before any new orders can be shipped.
We have been proud to support the TVR marque over many years, and we should like to thank you for your custom in the past and wish you well for the future.
Best wishes
The team at Racing Green Parts

Big Al.

As this effects most TVR marques it may be ideally displayed in the General TVR forum.

I'll move for now, please report if this is not the case.

Has anyone ordered since the transfer? Are orders going out the door as usual?

...I see their address remains the same (for now?) so have the staff been retained too?

Email says stock is being moved to their warehouse (near Birmingham) so I guess staff will have a long drive to work?

I placed an order the other day but have received no communication since. I'm sure they're busy from the changeover but usually receive a follow-up email soon after ordering.

Update for posterity: the customer service email has changed, if you reply to the order confirmation email it still goes to the old Parts for TVRs email address. New one is tvrparts@xpart.co.uk

I place an order but not received it. I have emailed them on both emails and tried to phone but they don’t answer.
Has anyone had more luck than me?

I placed an online order 10 days ago, heard nothing whatsoever.
I called Xparts on Monday and queried the progress of my order, they had not even seen it.
Sometime later they found the order and dispatched it for the next day, it arrived yesterday.

I would give them a call, if its anything like my order it may well just be sitting on their systems gathering dust.

Update on my order.

I called last Tuesday. The phone system welcome to Lacy parts, but don't be put off by that. On speaking to a nice lady I was told the guy that did the TVR orders (Dan?!) was away from his desk and would call me back. No call back happened.

Called again on Thursday to chase, as was told that they were doing my order as we spoke (coincidently!) and that it would arrive tomorrow, which to be fair it did do.

Unfortunately on checking, one of the smaller items has been missed, so now waiting to see how that's handled.

If anyone is still waiting on an order, I'd suggest that you call them up and chase.
