Hi All

Anyone got any experience of getting a Cat B back on the road? Im presuming new chassis suspension - but is it achievable on a later T car?

Welcome any thoughts....

I suppose you could remove all the salvageable parts and transfer to another chassis with a V5. If a new chassis used then I guess it could be registered on a Q plate as a kit car. Wouldn't be worth much though.

Thanks Englishman.

There is a particularly nice car I know of that has been Cat B, im looking to see how I could potentially get it on the road - given how these cars are made ( compared to say a BMW) I didnt know if there were exceptions - Ie new chassis, engine etc...

Cat B can be repaired and put back on the road if they are of some significance. I did read something the other day where someone had put their cat B bike back on the road. I’ve got a feeling the the salvage must be retained by the original keeper/ owner though. Adrian flux offers insurance cover for cat b cars that are returned to the road.
