Chimaera slave cylinder

Suspect the slave cylinder needs replacing or rebuilt! Any suggestions where to get a rebuild kit or is it easier to get a replacement??? 1996 4.0ltr V8 ?? Thanks, Gavin.

I'd go for a new cylinder, takes some abuse down where it sits, more than likely the bore is scored.

If memory serves me correctly, (and there’s a chance that it doesn’t), the slave cylinder if from a Hillman, (Imp?). I managed to source one for my Chimaera quite easily a few years back and for little expense.

I’d have thought the usual and well regarded TVR specialists would be able to assist. Would probably work out cheaper getting a new one than trying to successfully rebuild yours.
