There''s a posting on the Lotus seven website where tivs are getting a bit of a slagging. I personally can''t quite understand the ''my cars great and eveything else is sh#te'' attitude. In my book they are both great marques and a seven is definitely on my ''cars I''d like to have one day'' list. I just wondered what other people think, especially those that have had a Seven (or still have both - luck b*ggers!). P.S. does the caterham deserve its ''original and still the best'' tag or has it been caught by the competition?

There's a thread in the Griff section "your thoughts please" very unbiased opinions that really sum up they are both great cars, but very different, enjoy them both type attitude. Bit daft this "my cars the best" attitude I agree.

I think the thread was a bit in jest, but I agree why slag off different cars when they've both great at what they do?

I saw the thread on Lotus7 website - quite amusing, and I think a lot of them agree that both marques are great at what they do, but they are not really comparable. Regarding Caterhams and thier original and best nonsense, I can assure you that they have been caught and passed by the competition. That said they are great cars. (I have a Westfield by the way !)
