Either pics taken immediately after polishing before using the car, or a ceramic coating.

Or they are snazzy stainless steel ones from someone like Clive F Performance Pipe Art.

They look the same as mine, very standard. Anyone tried any products to apply in place? Thx.

Yep that’s just the standard ones cleaned up with probably sanding disks then wet and dry then eventually something like Solvol to make it shine.
As soon as you heat them up they go a golden brown colour. Trouble is they won’t stay like that for long, probably a year max before rust starts to form again.

Looks great for about 6 months but a total waste of time thumbup

That silver finish looks a lot like cermachrome.

I don't think many people would simply polish the manifold and leave it unprotected, because it would be an endless job.

Could well be.
It does remind me of how mine went from the pic above to a very similar dull then increasingly blackening off as oxidisation gets at them. If you re Polish them before they become keyed with surface corrosion they will return to a shine but darker in colour going more black. I had my car apart for a few months years ago so just polished them up over a couple of evenings while they were off the car. It’s impossible to Polish them on the car properly so I just did it because I had the opportunity too.
If I had a fist full of dollars this pic convinces me I’d buy Clive's Catted exhaust manifold system at a stroke.
Maybe one day wink

I've polished bits on the Cerbera. I find the various polishing wheels and compounds give a longer result than Solvol.

Must be getting old, I had a 4.3 pre cat, much prefer 500 with standard exhaust. According to what I have read, 500 is 10dB quieter. Nice!

Cats on the Cerbera quieten the noise by around 8-10db at 5k revs, but then they sit in the tunnel next to the gearbox and clutch and throw heat into the drive train and cabin. It's why I decatted and fitted an ACT quiet system to counter the loss.

Once you've got it in decent shape just polish it 3 to 4 times a year.

Wow, nice! Is that polished with a rotary tool with polishing disc? I just figured that air tools are a massive benefit, stripped the chassis where the coating had flaked, air grinder with 2 inch wheel is amazing, beats the heck out of anything I had tried previously.

Start with medium grade emery cloth then scotch brite and finally any good metal polish. Then just metal polish 3 or 4 times a year. Forgot to mention if you get scotch brite get a good one like 3M . And you may need a towel to mop up the sweat. Regards.
