I think I did the last ever tour before it closed - suprised what a dump the place was. Place was filthy and messy,

I'd seen and read about the TVR white elephant before but not that dark blue 'Speed Eight' prototype. Interesting. smile

The Griff prototype with the external fuel filler cap is close to the end result!

Well worth the wait.

Love the E reg Griff.

What is the dark blue (black?) car under the TERRY L sign? Pop up headlights and Griff? rear lamps

That's the Speed Eight prototype. Rather attractive I think.

Wow, that’s a rare beast.

And what’s the significance of the silver ‘S’ above it?

Many thanks for posting these photos.

My pleasure..
I think it's just come off the production line.
I took a customer to see his green S2 being built. The pix of his car should be with all these, but I must have stored them elsewhere.

Thank you very much for posting these photos, incredible! It looks bizarre to see a car as timeless as the Griff running on an F-plate. Such a wonderful design.

I have a promotional TVR postcard of the Speed Eight somewhere. I think it is something they should have pursued, the wedge designs looked so much better when the lines were softened off a bit. It almost looks akin to something like a 4-seater 400SE.

That postcard would be nice to see.
