Vehicle Comparison Request
Discussion
Hi, and good afternoon. not been on this forum for a very long time!!
Hope someone can settle an argument for me.
Background:
A good friend of mine and proper Old Skoll DJ Loft Groover used to own a TVR 420 SEAC. Specifically D668YLP.
We were talking about cars we had, and what we would have today. I used to have a replica HSR with a proper 2.3 SC engine, twin 48 D3ellorto's etc and he used to have the TVR. My current choice I said would be a Fiat 500 Arbarth as it is small, nippy etc and he laughed saying it was tiny and a hair dressers/ ladies car!!!
So, I googled the specs and the TVR is only 14 inches longer. Not much really, but looks totally different because of the body shape etc.
What I really want is a photo of a 420 next to a 500 Arbath to show him just how similar they are in length. He doesn't belive in google stats, but does believe in a damn good Dram and base tune
Could anyone oblige?
Many thanks
TVR 420 SEAC: Length 401.3 cm or 157.99 inches Wheelbase 238.8 cm or 94.02 inches
Fiat 500 Arbath: Length 365.7 cm or 143.98 inches Wheelbase 230 cm or 90.55 inches
Hope someone can settle an argument for me.

I've got a SEAC and one of my lads mates has the Abarth, and as per image above the SEAC is longer and wider also, and makes a much nicer sound......
Your mates SEAC is a tidy one. https://theseacpages.co.uk/Gallery.html#420%20SEAC...

Nothing to do with the above but about sizes. When I set up my chim to be lifted on my two post lift, I marked out on the concrete floor where the wheels go so I can get it right every time.
When I serviced my daughters 2007 Nissan Micra a few years back and put it in the garage I noticed it had a 6 inch longer wheelbase, (or thereabouts). You wouldn’t believe that given the two types of car. No wonder the Micra handled so well

If you're really bored (and interested in comparing the sizes of things) try this thread with 120 pages;

Not so much in that one; Chim is 4015 and Boxster 4380mm (although the chim is wider)
Thanks for that.Edited by RayTVR on Sunday 2nd January 15:22

Actually, according to a bit of a search on Google, the Boxster is a tad wider without the mirrors. Doesn't surprise me as they are/were a pain to get in the garage if you are not careful.
