EMERGENCY - TVR Griffith 500 cannot open the boot
Discussion
This subject has been addressed many times before and has never been answered openly in the Forums for obvious security reasons.
In deep pooh because I am in the process of relocating from South Africa to Indonesia and in the chaos of moving I have lost the keys to the Griff.
I put the spare key/remote and all the car papers/manuals/etc in the boot as it is scheduled to go this week on consignment to 'Wheels Club',
which is an up market exotic car dealership in Johannesburg.
I believe there is a way of manually opening the boot however, having pulled out all the carpets in the back and sides, I cannot find anything like a cable to the boot lock. Yes, there is one cable, that I already knew about, which opens the drivers door from inside the boot but that arrangement seems pretty pointless.
If necessary I can provide solid evidence that I am bona fide. I was, until recently, a member of the TVR Club and you can also check with shelley@wheelsclub to confirm that my car is scheduled.
I would be greatly obliged if somebody could please let me into the secret of opening the boot manually as my house has been sold and I, plus the Griff, have to be out of it tomorrow.
This is a real emergency and for that reason I am adding my phone number
Thanks.
