Hi. This looks like the place for the intel that I need..
Back story I that I used to repair most of the TVRs near Rochester NY, USA for quite a long time . I had 7 parked at my shop one year when that was a lot in one place. 3 of our group went to the first Out of the wood work meet.

Today ; I have spent may years racing and raising a Son . Thus the Tivver has sat neglected.
The TR6 is PI spec with OD trans , 2 in SU etc. It was built by me about 40yrs ago. Along the way I have built a few TR8 engines and hope to install one i this car.
Some questions; Do the Disco Rover '96 center dump exhaust manifolds fit the chassis?
Does the 96 intake clear my hood with bulge?
Does the TR8 shifter come out any where close ? I expect not .
I will use a Microsquirt ECU controller and may try for AC. Thanks for any tips.

fit a proper engine readily available in the states not the Rover!!

This ^ your in the states your in V8 heaven with far more choice and better catered for go faster parts wise over the RV8 which is over priced for said go faster parts frown performance heads a good example of this eek small block Ford would be my choice especially if your keeping it period your also losing additional weight going after market performance alloy heads also AFR/Edelbrock etc , or failing this you could just go late GM series LS engine etc

Thanks.
My car is M chassis . I will mock it up and go from there, Looking for block hugger headers. Slim chance that the OE 96 Rover manifolds with fit , maybe with an angle skim .
I will Microsquirt anything that I put in . Simple and cheap. Just need a solid 200 HP . The TR 8s that I built went well but used Holley 600 .

As this looks like a fairly common install, I was hoping for more facts concerning fitment and pieces needed.

I remember the 5000M cars that we saw in Canada . Seems that Just like my Ford MG , the headers were swapped side to side.
