What is the PERFECT colour for a TVR?

Its not another 'colour' thread, but a genuine request for input because my other half and myself are stuck on choosing a colour for the phoenix.

Cascades, chamaeleons, stardusts, candy etc etc... all options considered...

What you all think????
Which colour/style?

So far, a british racing green and a flip/flop blue-red has been suggested.

Or in joint second 'Yellow Peril' Yellow (we don't need an example!)
and the bright Orange sag colour (see here)...

Then.. because I cannot make my mind up.. have to add Spectraflair Topaz (here)

Has to be some kind of chameleon/reflex doesn't it? Whichever paintjob you end up with I'm sure it'll be a good 'un!

They're not really in any order anyway

It's so hard to choose a colour..

But I've got a bit of a mini guide ready....

1) Select a shortlist of 5-10 colours
2) Post on Pistonheads to get that knocked down to 4-5 colours..
3) Take out 'small' loan
4) Buy different TVRs, one different model for each colour

That way you get to have a blast with them all, and don't get upset if you realised you made a terrible mistake when choosing the colour

But you're right, its BLOODY hard to choose the colour, just when you think you've chosen the right colour, you see another one and your mind tears in two...

Oh and its a cream white interior with purple carpets and purple door inserts - I suppose the majority is cream white so that should be compatible with quite a few colours on the outside?

I think Dark (then Im biased) why not a custom paint job as we previously discussed I think on our way to the RRday ..

you not concidering the pheonix graphic on the front anymore??

how about a blend front to rear purple to black in a metaflake finish with redish flecks

this was my idea for mine one day but will probably never happen ... would suit the pheonix tho!!

Don't know about the "perfect" colour but i love this green..

I have not seen a Cerbera in this colour either although i think it would look alright? and stand out quite alot..

Thing is the factory are not doing any more HMG.
Sportie and I have the last two cars in that colour.


Thing is SXS, if your car is going to cause great interest on the track IMO you need a bright colour so that it is easily followed with the eye on the far side of the circuits............

One thing about yellow is that you can see it at a distance.......and that makes videoing easier too!!!!!

Before you all shoot me....I have nothing against dark
colours,(except blue of course awaits flaming by Kojak ) although I am known for the 'yellow' thing!!!!

My favourite TVR colour is Spectre Flair Silver. I have seen a T350 on a trackday in the sun in this colour and, with the sun directly above the car it reflected off the bodywork like a mirror effect.....you couldn't actually see the car because of the bright light reflecting off the paint......it was a bit spooky and an absolutely amazing effect..................

Whether SFS would look good with those interior colours though.... ...Mmmm...don't know....

They certainly would go with orange....

Don't choose blue! There's already too many blue TVRs (including mine).

Other than that, I have nothing to say. Except black.

Difficult choice, I went for cosmos blue as alot of TVR's at the mo are in the 'fashion' colours at the mo...I think that they will date quicker than the 'standard' colours.

Also, the sag looks wicked in the dark and vibrant colours (Ref Char / yellow / orange/ ref topaz etc), of which I think the tuscan looks better in more traditional colours (blues/ spec silver / black etc).

Personal opinion though!!!

What ever the colour, it is the colour you like because you can have whatever you want and everybody still looks at the car regardless of colour.

I think considering your interior colour contrast,id look at every shade of purple possible,definetly more the darker shades,blues a big no no imho,and thats coming from someone owning two blue TVR's(had full purple interior in a griff,but with yellow exterior(yellow dials of course)...

Definitely go for a bright colour Ash. My first choice would of course be a yellow derivative, perhaps halcyon midas pearl

Depends on the model, but IMHO halcyon midas pearl is perfect for a Tamora.

Dont go yellow Ash, there's enough already (I know of mine plus 3 others within 30 miles of me on the South Coast )

The DM Saggy green is outstanding , but I dont get (dons flak jacket) BRG. Agree perhaps with a nice purple (with your interior), but also like the charcoal colour. How about the Audi A8 showcar aluminium? Be a bitch to clean and will blind other drivers in the sun, but you're a cerb driver...fk everyone else
