RIP John Mleczek

Very sad to hear today of the passing of John Melchek, a true gentleman. John like his father worked for TVR, his father a Pollsh wartime refugee had worked for Trevor Wilkinson in the early days and John worked all his life for TVR until it's demise in 2006. He was very active in the TVR community and the long time RO for Blackpool TVR Club. His last job at TVR was making doors, I once asked him "How many doors do you make in a day ?" He looked at me strangely and said "Two of course , one in the morning and one in the afternoon" . If you've got a smiley face in your door then John made it. My sympathy to his wife Jenny and his family.

John and I at London Thunder in 2006 , it was his TVR flag.

Johns' funeral will take place tomorrow at Lytham Crem FY8 4AB at 11:30 ... I understand the funeral procession will go down Bristol Avenue about 10:30 where a few TVRs will join the convoy . I also understand there will be some media coverage from Bristol Avenue around 9am but I'm not sure of the details.
The funeral will be streamed live on www.blackpoolfunerals.live starting at 11;28
