Hi,considering buying a special spanner to aid brake bleeding( motion Pro mini brake bleeder tool). On a T350, are the front and rear bleed nipples the same size? And what size are they please.
Thank in advance,
Simon .

I was interested in the spanner sizeeek Are they metric? Are they 8 or 10 mm?
Scammell sounds definitely imperial and probably a bit saggy , rather than T350blah

Buy yourself a set of brake pipe spanners, very handy.

Looks like 10 or even 11 to me, def not 8mm?

Personally can't see why on earth you'd want to blow 30 quid on that rather than use a ring spanner, how often you gonna use it?

They are >10mm. Either 11 or 7/16 I think.

Thank you "Farm Yard", at last a helpful answerbiglaugh
I did wonder if they were imperial?
As its pissing down I was hoping to avoid actually getting the car out and may be a wheel off to check.

I've just checked on the Tuscan for you as it in the workshop in the air with no wheels on, they're 11mm front and back. 7/16th fits almost exactly the same, just slightly more play than 11mm so id guess at metric

Thread will be M10 x 1, metric fine, spanner/socket will definitely be 11mm not 7/16" (although they are very similar).

It that expensive 'gizmo' available in 11mm?

Does it have some sort of rubber insert to seal with the bleed nipple?

Mine do have an O-ring but, if you're vac-bleeding, there'll usually be an air leak down the thread, requiring a smear of grease to make that seal too. No such prob if pressure bleeding.

Had similar spring-loaded bleed-screws in the late 70's, but they used the existing 'seat', unlike this complete screw-in assy.
A bit of expensive bling IMHO, only of use if you are one-man bleeding the old fashioned way, rather than using pressure or vac.
