Just received ULEZ letter for my Chimaera
Discussion
I've just received a Letter sent by the DVLA on behalf of The Mayor Of London , telling me the Ultra Low Emission Zone in London is being expanded on the 25th October 2021 and that my Chimaera "MAY NOT" meet ULEZ standards.... usual crap statement surely it does or it doesn't ????
Since TVRs are built under the small volume certificate and weren't required to undertake emission tests and they are not recorded by the DVLA why have I got this letter ??? I haven't received one for my Tuscan ??? or my 1998 BMW , all are PLGs.
Anyone else received the letter ???
Living in Lancashire I have no intention of travelling to London , but the danger is a another do gooder Labour Mayor (like Manchester) will do the same .
Just checked on https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/check-your-vehicl...
My 2001 Chimaera and my BMW 328 are liable for the ULEZ charge but my 2006 Tuscan isn't ... and IIRC at 305 grams/kilometre the Tuscan has higher CO2 emissions ... the letter refers to the success of the ULEZ in reducing Nitrogen Dioxide levels ... which I thought Diesels were the main culprit. The Underground used to be the most polluted air (blowing my nose after would be Black) Transport for London should get their own house in order.

I see the issue was discussed before https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
It would appear 2006 cars are OK .... I would suggest not for any good reason ... but just because Transport For London are incompetent and are unaware of of cars being built under The Minsters Certificate for Low Volume Vehicles , so they are just applying a mistaken assumption that ALL cars registered from 2006 are EURO4 compliant .

We have a letter about the Citroen Picassa C3 `64. Taxed at £20 ,being LOW emission !
Why are we told to register with TfL , We have NO intention or need to go to London, We are based in Dorset, How do they get the Reg number and info
Are we to be penalised for not registering ?
Just another money grabbing scheme and FEAR news ?
When will these stes ever stop ?
We are all very easy targets.
