I have decided to sell my tuscan after 10 years of ownership and in those 10 years its been very reliable, i cant remember ever having to be recovered and im not even sure its ever even broken down.

Anyway, first person who comes to view and guess what......it fking broke down hehe

The car did do this a while ago but not again, basically driving it and it cuts out. remember leaving for 10 mins and restart. Thats what it did yesterday as well, but then it happened again.

Wouldn't re stat this time, after a while i realised i couldn't hear the fuel pump coming on and quickly realised it was the relay. All i did was take it out and push back in firmly, pulling it out mimicked the breakdown.

So was it just a loose relay or is it broken? how do i tell?

Also noticed the air con isn't blowing cold, i never use it but did have it all fixed up last year and it did blow cold, but not now. Refrigerant leaked out perhaps due to no use for the last 8mths or so? you can hear the compressor coming on but no cold.

Like Herbie, it’s trying to tell you something. Next time somebody turns up, it’ll probably leak oil all over their shoes.

If the AC is wired correctly the compressor will not come on if the system is low on refrigerant pressure. Not many other reasons for it to not be cold so looks like you need to get it checked by someone with the gear.

Test at relay with multimeter (difficult though)

Is the fuel pump relay a special brown one with a diode in series with the winding?

If yes.....You could buy a special relay and try it

or/and

Remove relay case and take a look inside as there could be corrosion, replace if corrosion is found

Well after making sure it was pushed in properly, it does appear to be working properly now. I think it was just a bit loose or was sticking, either way i drove it on 2 separate occasions for about 1.5hrs each time and no issue at all.

The only issue i now have is after driving it i now am even less sure i should sell it hehe
