Like all builders, they probably turned up, had a look from the filthy van windscreen, if they could see past all the junk and old fast food wrappers on the dashboard, and said they would get back with a quote, but promised "it won't be cheap, and we can't start straight away, cos we can't get the materials or staff cos of that Covid", and still haven't provided the quote.
Aston are making redundancies at their Welsh plant, so there might be a possibility of a ready made plant for sports cars that don't sell very well by the time TVR are production ready.
Honda will be out of Swindon this year. How long are Stellantis going to keep Ellesmere Port open? The EU doesn't even like our vaccine, so I cannot imagine our car plants are top of the list! The way Jaguar are going, there will be a plant or two available there.
The media are reporting a rise in demands for Welsh independence, so it might be unwise to build an English sports car in Wales!
Is the Rassau site jinxed (if you believe in that sort of thing)? Two people called Guy and Pierre on a site called "tredegar" say this about Tech-Board:
"At the time it was thought to be the largest venture-capital backed Greenfield manufacturing startup in British History. In 1993 one man raised over 35 million pounds form (sic) the City of London to build a new manufacturing plant in Wales. Over the next 8 years the plant was built, started production, went into receivership three times (some say twice...), and finally was shut down for the final time"
Sounds like the history of a British sports car manufacturer!

LucyP. Like all builders you might have employed maybe?
Some builders work with millions of pounds worth of equipment in large teams bolting buildings together 20 floors above your head Mr and do so on a daily basis.
Builders hey. Tut tut. Nice hospital though ey!
Or maybe this one. A wonderful Arts centre/ theatre. Notice the tonnes of glass I set out doesn’t touch the ground................. thats nigh on 7 floors high and all set out using a cherry picker....... that’s minerals mate and rather a lot of engineering concentration and attention to detail. The setting out of that glass structure follows a 3 mm tolarence principal. Lazy assed builders we were not.

Good news. I found a report in Drive.
The order book ($54.7 million) is full and deliveries begin next year.
'By now, plenty of TVR fans may have given up on the brand's long-promised revival, not to mention those hardcore enthusiasts who even put down deposits for their new TVR Griffith. However, the team led by former Electronic Arts vice president Les Edgar isn't ready to fold just yet, having announced now that despite all their difficulties since first presenting the Gordon Murray-chassis Griffith for late 2018 deliveries, the V8 sports car is once again back on schedule, for 2022. Mind you, that's a deadline also known as "next year" in the automotive startup sector.
TVR is now "confident" about delivering its first new Griffith in 2022, due to having secured £2 million ($2.73 million) via the United Kingdom government’s recently launched Coronavirus Business Interruption Loan Scheme. Apparently, this money will allow TVR to finish its factory refurbishment and tool up to produce a full year's worth of cars, satisfying an order bank said to be worth $54.7 million.'
