Ok so my TVR is fitted with a 2001 Sigma alarm with key pad ! As my battery has been disconnected for over 4 years I can’t get the fuel pump working to prime the system before I start up for the 1st time 😳 it is an alarm problem ! I do not know the code for the keypad , I can lock the doors and get the ignition red light on the pump powers up for about 2 seconds then goes off ( can here relays clicking ) how can I reprogram the alarm? Do I need someone to come out to do it ? Your reply’s are most welcome, please message me as it’s an anti theft issue.

Thanks steve

One of my TVR's has a Sigma alarm (without the option of a keypad) I have controller that reads the flashing LED and I can, from a scroll through menu reset the remotes (which lose sync with the alarm if the batteries in the remotes go flat). I bought the reader off of Ebay after being charged by an alarm specialist 30.00 for doing the job in two minutes (TBH, I was happy to pay the 30.00 once, the reader was another 30.00 and I have used it 3 or 4 times. That's the normal behaviour and suggests at the very least that the ECU is getting the switched ignition signal. In my experience these usually go via the immobilizer.

What actually stops you from starting the car? It may be you have a much more mundane problem such as a stuck starter solenoid or corroded wiring.

I have a 97 Griff that needs a new alarm. A couple of TVR garages I have contacted automatically quoted me an updated Meta system, one other a Sigma which is quite a bit cheaper.
I want to keep the car as original as possible so should I go for the Meta system or doesn't it really matter?
