The more I see of the new Supra the more I'm convinced the styling was heavily influenced by the Sagaris.... Anyone else?

Yes, when i first saw it I thought there were strong hints of the Sagaris and new Griffith.

Personally, I don't see it myself with the Sag but yeah, looks a LOT like the new griff. Uncannily so.

I love the look of the sag.
Middling on the new griff.
Not a fan of the look of the new supra.

^^^ the first time I saw the new Supra I thought it was the Griffith with a reworked front end, but I didn't realise it was SO similar, until looking at those pics.

The Supra concept certainly did have a Sag look about it.
Sadly the resulting road car is a cartoon version of the Concept.
I know this is almost always the case, but this was particularly disappointing.

It’s got a 3 litre turbo with 335bhp, with demos in the USA tested at 340 at the wheels

I know it’s got a different badge, but some of the intended market for new TVR will buy this instead

Top of the range (at present) is a 3 litre turbo straight 6 making 382 horsepower via an 8 speed auto. 0-60 in 3.7 and 0-100 in 9.5 secs. A manual may come later. Fuel consumption 30mpg on motorway, 22 round town and 25 combined.

The 2 litre turbo 4 cylinder time is 0-60 in 4.7 secs.

Puny but punchy. punch

That´ll be the US version (hence the measured 340 ATW). UK/EU will have to make do with 335 hp due do different emission standards....

TVR should stick TVR badges on the Supra and call it the Sagaris. Maybe change the interior to make it more garish though

I agree. The finished product looks like they added a body kit to a car that already had one.

Yes and who still has had to go halves with another major mass producer to make it viable. Ford to use the VW platform for medium/small family electric cars. As for Fiat/Chrysler and PSA with 14 brands, who knows which will survive.
The times they are a changin'.
