Just wondering what's happened to three projects that I enjoyed following a few years back, but have gone all 'radio silence' of late.
1. Engineer John's monster Cerb racer.
2. Cerb that a chap was building from scratch including making his own chassis and milling his own uprights etc. had lots of drawings.
3 Chim that was being 'reimagined' in a contemporary way incl. his own scratch built digital dash
Just please don't tell me that they all went over to Fakebook... rolleyes

did you not have them 'Book Marked'? you could then resurrect them by posting a reply and even see if the originators are still active on here.

This one looked promising for a bit, then the money ran out

2. Was this the Cerb in South Wales (no relation to the car above)?

Richard Metcalfe did his own digital dash here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQGvMglY72Y
This is not something I would like but the result is amazing
I think I've seen the link on FB...

Bizarrely, it appears that it once belonged to you!

Yes it did! I rescued it from a trader in Doncaster. As per the normal TVR way, I spent a lot of money getting it sorted - even the aircon worked well - but its mileage was against it having done over 60,000 miles and been neglected. Probably should have sent it to Powers, spent a lot more then kept it. Oh well...

I can't help with any of the above - but on this topic, I have always wondered what happened to Alex "Daredevil"'s Chimaera that he was putting the full-boot hard top onto...

Anyone know what happened to him and the project?

Mystery of No 3 solved... it's 450Nick who is obviously still on it, as he's currently on another thread discussing door locking and window operation. thumbup

The " badass vixen " project on major mods hasn't been updated for years and would love to see a LS wide bodied vixen .

Yup that's me! The chassis fab took aaaaagggeess thanks to covid and some welder shortages but is firmly back on track now... Chassis just about finished, engine now sitting in it, just waiting for some new laser cut engine mount plates then will start with building up the rolling chassis and running the exhaust. All parts sitting waiting for rolling chassis build then the body will come out of its container for some trimming and fitting.

I post semi-regular updates on Instagram (because it's quick and easy) which can be found here: https://www.instagram.com/tvr_project_rocket/

I should probably update the PH post - might have a go this week but the dash pod is just about finished. It has a lovely new billet aluminium casing, rev 3 of the backlit decal now fitted and the (hopefully) final revision of the main PCB is sitting on my desk waiting to be fitted and the code adjusted this week so once that's done I'll post up a video of the almost finished unit. Just need to do another revision of the pointers; I need to design an alignment tool to properly align the CNC aluminium caps properly on my filed down plastic pointers so there is no eccentric movement on rotation like my "by eye" first version.

Finally there is some minor bug in the CAN bus OBD interface such that it works perfectly on my bench simulator but not in a real car - possibly set the wrong baud rate but I need to borrow a friends car and sit in it with a laptop to find the bug and remove it. Difficult though being in Malaysia in lockdown but I'll get to it shortly I'm sure.

Here's the last mini teaser video of it running: https://www.instagram.com/p/CITPRmABFHm/?utm_sourc...
