Hi :wavey:
We need holiday help.
Just to let you know how new this is to us - the first time we have driven abroad was when we went to Le Mans this year. So please be gentle with me :spin:
We have friends who have a house in France ( Pontivy) and they have invited us over for the bank holiday weekend. We have decided to make that our holiday and have an extra 5 days.
Has anyone any ideas on a good place to stay thats fairly reasonable price wise and where we would be able to park the Sagaris without having to worry about it.(too much)
We don't mind where it is but (I) would prefer to be near a beach.
I do have another question - How long would it take us to drive into Spain from there cos that's another option.
We would be grateful for any help. :)

My parents have a house in Rochefore-en-terre (near Pontivy) that they rent out. Its in a quiet part of the village so parking the Sagaris out the front won't be a problem.

That's a beautiful village (my parents are not far away, in Caden). I would be very surprised if anyone's car ever gets mistreated there! If I ever get to take my Chim to my parents' place, I'll certainly be driving to Rochefort with the digital camera fully charged!

Thanks for that it would have been ideal. It looks lovely. The dates I need are already booked

Looked out for you at Le Mans .Dunno about the race - didnt see it

The TVRCC Cambridgeshire region have just returned from this area of France.
We stayed at a place called Bannalec, just outside Quimperle, which is about 55 miles west of Pontivy.
We stayed at fanstatic place called "Le Manoir du Menec.
Their website is www.manoirdumenec.com/
Tel : +33 02 98 39 47 47
They do B&B, plus have some Gites on site so you can go self catering if you want to. Some rooms have four-poster beds and all are en-suite.
They have an indoor swimming pool and a top class gastronomique restaurant.
It's run by a brilliant team, who have a sense of humour and speak very good English. There is supberb courtyard parking, we had an assortment of Tuscans, T350, Griffith and Tamora make the journey plus the back-up Megan and Mondeo !
Suggest that whilst in the area you also visit Pont-L'Abbe as this is a lovely picturesque village that has a good chocolate shop and some great restaurants and drive out to Pointe du Raz is also worth it for the view at the end of the point.
I am in the progress of writing an article about the trip and hopefully it may get into Sprint.
If you want any other details send me an email via my profile.
Hope you have a great time and happy
