I wouldn’t use Mobil 1 products as they seem to have a bad reputation these days from what I’ve read online.
2 to consider which are great quality, I use the penrite.

In reality it will probably be fine, it used to be one of the most highly regarded years ago so can't be that bad today.
Me personally when I read mostly negative stuff online I tend to leave it alone.
If you plan to use it just keep an eye on the pressure hot and cold, one of the negatives I've heard is it loses pressure when it's hot compared to others.

I've always thought it's more important to change it inbetween service intervals belt and braces.
I know oil is far better now but it seems cheap maintenance to me.

I think the cam wear issue on here is blown out of proportion.
I know a local garage owner that puts 10/40 semi in whatever comes through the door!

- - Bottom line is that probably all the manufacturers get the base stock for their synthetic oils from Esso Fawley.
This was the first refinery to produce synthetic lube-oil base stock
...Mobil and Esso merged about 20 years ago.
OK, likely some niche oil brands alter their additive recipe/package to give them a marketing edge?
