Banging / rattles from the boot

[Ahhhh-Corner!]

Over the bumps my Chimaera is making some banging / rattley noises eminating from the boot. Initially thought it was either the spare, the roof or the toolkit banging around - but sadly not.

What else is a likely cause?

Maybe it's that traffic warden trying to get out?

Same here. In my case its the jack bouncing up and down.

if its happening when the fuel level is low , it sounds like the baffles have gone in the tank . Happened on mine , caused by the carbon filter blocking and pressurising the tank.

FWIW I had some rattly sounds from the front - turned out the end of the anti-roll bar had parted company with the car....

Have a look in the boot at the back of the tank to see if one of the control boxes has fallen down the back of the tank, they should be velcroed onto the top of the tank.

I found a couple of golf balls rolling around behind my tank.....
