I'm doing a body off restore of 2500M. I restored the front end and when i got to the rear. I thought it was time for a change. I looked into the common upgrade with domestic disc and rotor. After seeing older aftermarket parts. I decided to do a modern upgrade. Main goal is to upgrade my 2 TVR 2500m and if possible turn it into a product to sell.
I spoke with Wilwood for a caliper recommendation. They came up for 4 piston 120-6806.
I tried the Nissan rotor used in the old upgrade to get me in the ballpark. It was unusable, but I was able to take some dimensions from it to have a new rotor made.
I next developed the caliper bracket. Having 3D modeling and CNC I fabricated the bracket you see here.
Yesterday I took the assembly down to a friend who is restoring TR6 and found it will work nicely.
Phase 1 complete, It works of TVR and TR6.
Phase 2 is working out eBrake using another Wilwood caliper as in photo. I have a couple bracket designs to try out.
The eBrake caliper will work on TR6 also. but it will be a little more of a challenge.

Seems like a lot of rear Calliper? Looks like most of the available braking force will be wound off?

Have you investigated the potential market for this product.
It’s been done before and I’m fairly sure there wasn’t any rush to buy them.

Looks bigger in photo. Not much different from the original Nissan caliper.

Why a separate handbrake caliper, rather than a caliper that has an integrated handbrake mechanism?

Not holding my breathe, very expensive. At very least I can supply the brackets for someone who doesn’t want to use Chinese calipers. More likely used for racing.
It’s been a good brain exercise.

I think Wilwood didn’t mention it because they don’t have 3/8 rotor thickness. Which is what I used. This is good to know thou.

There you go. Good job. I had to have a larger diameter rotor for the Wilwood. At the same time the caliper is to fat. So that drove a new taller rotor and larger diameter. Your spacer solves that , to get the wheel on. BTW, my original TVR wheel and TR6 rim fit.

Love your nickel suspension.
What’s your rear spring rate?
16” shock?

16” shock 500 rear springs (race car with 800 fronts). Inner web of the 15” wheel needed some light matching too. It was a real struggle to get the clearances required.

I love the bling and sparkle the nickel plate gives :£
