Touring in France

I''m taking the Beast to France next week. Anyone got any tips on what I should take with me for all reasonable eventualities. (I''ve got the useful advantage of using my Fiance''s place in Paris as a base so can stock up here at least). Any probs getting the TVR on a ferry?
