As I now have several cars and a bike, I am beginning to wonder if it is worth continually insuring them all under separate policies. Does anyone know of a good policy where I can be insured to drive ANY vehicle? ... and what is the likely cost?

Thanks in advance for good info.

I went though this a few years ago.... the issue is you need a trade policy, they are expensive, you need premises and there are a load of restrictions. Painful one in the event of total loss they will only pay out bottom trade money.

A mate of mine who is a freelance motoring journalist got a 'trader' policy which covered his own collection plus any other vehicles he wanted to drive.

Cost was about £1400 per annum, IIRC, and premises can't have been an issue, as he sived in a suburban semi with a single garage and a long drive.

I think they needed some convincing that the policy was genuinely in connection with his business, though.
