Morning All,

I bought a couple of sets of OZ Racing Split Rims (as fitted to V8S, Chimaera & Griffith) which were destined for my fathers V8S, however on completion of a light refurb/restoration of the car last year, it was sold before these wheels were refurbished!

My question for anyone in the know is, any idea on prices...?

Set 1 - 15" Fronts & 16" Rears. Fully refurbished by a split rim specialist and as new.

Set 2 - 15" all round. Fully refurbished by a split rim specialist and as new.

Refurbishment cost on these rims is obviously higher than your typical one piece rim powder coating. Waiting on final bill although indication is £100+ per wheel which includes some new fixings and I believe one or two may have had new polished outer lips. All wheels are complete with genuine OZ Centre Caps, OEM Painted Silver Lattice Centres & Hand Polished Outer Lips.

Any help or knowledge appreciated.

If you can forgive the silly name, there is a forum dedicated to uncommon alloy wheels - www.wheelwes.com

If you're in the TVR owners club they might give you a ballpark figure, if you want to know what people would be willing to pay today then wheel wes is the place to ask.

Maybe worth you putting a query on the Lotus Forum as lots of Esprits had Oz split rims.

I did see a refurbished set for a Griff up for £1K a few months ago, don't know if they sold for that though.

A set recently were advertised for £800 on ebay. I've been looking at refurbishment costs for the set on my SEAC. £140 a corner refurb cost, but I've decided to do them myself, apart from powder coating at £30 per wheel.

Thanks for the info/input. Think £1k for a set of 15's and a little more for a set of 15's & 16's sounds about right.
