Tricky Roads

I'm thinking of taking the Tusc to the Lakes for a little drive. I'm hoping to camp at Wasdale, this means a potential trip over Hardknott and Wrynose passes with their wicked little twists and 1:3 gradients (It's always difficult trying to describe driving through Wrynose Bottom without having to spell it!). The last time I did this in anything remotely fun was about 20 years ago in an MG Midget. Has anyone any experience of taking their Tiv over that way?

I'd also be interested in hearing tales of any other roads that pose similar difficulties.
