We were going to retire to Spain this year, but I've won a couple of lucrative contracts in the building trade. So I'm going for a change of marque.
I've owned 7 TVRs 3 Chimps, 2 Cerbs, a Tamora and finally a Griff. Always wanted a Griff, but just couldn't get on with it. Spent £4k on it last March and only done 300 mile in it since.
So I'm going to sell the Griff soon and release a bit of cash. I'm thinking of buying a Merc amg Gt, but will have to move or build a bigger garage. I think the look and sound great. Anybody on here driven or own one?

good plan, I'm also looking at the AMG GT series but then the AMG GTS version or even more precise, the special Edition 1 version of the GTS which were also used in F1.

be aware, a lot of sellers offer there AMG GTS as an edition 1 but most of those are not such!
there are a lot of parts only in the edition 1, the most prominent is the fixed rear spoiler, but a must have is the edition 1 stamped into the steering wheel (and many other parts that come with a real edition one, many carbon parts aero parts etc etc)

the good thing about those AMG GT(s) they are mostly out aluminium etc, great stuff.

But before that I think I'm gonna try a SLK 55 AMG R171 (2004-2011 version) and then a 2008 (FL) version with performance package ofcourse.
I also would go for the 2006 onwards black series , but they are now to expensive and very very rare, back in 2012 I could buy one for 39k euro, but at the time I still had to sell my other car to free the money...so had to let it go and now they are way over 100k :-(

Maybe a rare SLK 55 AMG from Brabus 6.1S would be fun too, also for your garage, those are just around 4 meter long, wide and a big V8 to play with and or further upgrade it.
Or a Kelleners supercharged example.

Thanks for the reply Rene. Its the GTS I'm looking at. I will have a look at one over the weekend if they have one at my local Merc garage.
