my heavy handed son pushed the buttons indicated below too hard. As a result the cluster of buttons has come away from the dashboard (not shown in this image). Has anyone got any ideas on how to sort this easily and how do they attach back?

You will need to take the dash panel out and glue the bracket back on to the rear of the metal panel I'm afraid. Not too bad a job once you have dropped the steering column and found the wingnuts each side of the dash panel - you get to the left-hand side one after removing the air vent.

Yes had to do mine recently after the alarm guy replacing my system managed to break them
As said, dash needs to come out, its tight at the edges, so put some masking tape against the leather to protect it as you slide the panel towards you, plenty of wiring to allow you to move the panel into a position to work on, vents out, and radio out first.

You can open the glovebox and reach through to the back of those buttons, and might be able to push them back into place as a temporary measure even if they will then sink back again with anything more than a gentle press. My boot release button is partially detached but you can press it very gently and it still works without moving it which will do until I get round to taking the dash out!
