Afternoon all.

What would a sensible jacking procedure be to get a car up on four axle stands?

Both the front, then both the rear?

Both the rear, the both the front?

Work round the car either clockwise or anti clockwise a corner at a time?

Clearly not opposing corners biggrin

Depends on the car.

On my M I jack up the front first then the rear.

If you do the rear first you can’t get a jack under the front.

I do it in stages if I need to go very high.

What sort of jack are you using?

For what they cost get two small trolley jacks, one under each side, front first then rear.

if you have a "full size" trolley jack you should be able to get that under the front cross member and lift front in one go?

once the front is on stands you don't want to be lifting the rear one side at a time, imho!

I bought a "low entry" jack, it's low but too short to reach the cross member irked

Proper trolley jack - 2-tonne version with low entry with high lift.

Only want to get it off the tyres / wheels for storage purposes.

Will do front as one then rear as one.

Thanks.
