Nbsb;ford t9 5 speed gearbox (slick quick shift

my tvr vixen came fitted withe this gearbox and quick shift fitted , and a V6 Colone engine , the gear lever is in the correct position even with this linkage on ,can anyone tell me if this is an advantage , as I haven't driven mine yet it's still under restoration, also what the nbsb stands for ,
