"New cameras fitted with noise detection systems will tackle nuisance motorists with extremely and unnecessarily loud cars or motorbikes.
The technology will detect vehicles which exceed legal noise limits and could work in a similar way to speed cameras to automatically target drivers breaking the law.
Transport Secretary Chris Grayling said the plan could help tackle the "absolute misery" caused by noise pollution in residential areas.
The government has commissioned a prototype noise camera to be tested at several locations over remainder of 2019."

Just seen the above in the express newspaper, looks like a lot of owners of TVR's could well be in trouble, me included!!!

If they’re genuinely only concerned about residential areas then hopefully it won’t be too big of an issue.
I can see that it’s a genuine nuisance if you have people going past your house with a loud car at 2am or whatever, but that’s not what most TVR drivers do with their cars.
Being optimistic about how they deploy them!

Once they find out it can be a revenue earner they will be deployed away from the very people / houses they are supposed to protect.

Exactly, easy money as usual. O/T my Old Man recently caught in a yellow box junction by somebody manning the CCTV 24/7 ... £160 fine or £80 for an easy life.
