Going to book on to this as I have never driven Croft. I will most likely book in to a local hotel for two nights and spend the next day driving home through the North Yorkshire Moors.

Had a look at the track map, and while it's flat, it looks quite like Cadwell with straights - 12-14 corners with several good overtaking straights.
So I will probably give it a go, as I have never been to Croft.

It is 2 hours north of me, just off the A1, for those of my friends who are interested. As you already know, I am just of the A1 at Newark on Trent. I will be making a same day dash for it, as I am always up early anyway, but anyone who wants to make an overnight stop at mine the night before and/or after is welcome.

I too could be tempted. Likewise never done Croft. It's a bloody long way though, probably why I've never done it. May consider it if enough of 'the gang' join in.

Croft is a great track but I haven't been there for a very long time as I recall the noise restriction was quite low/strict. What is the limit for this day?

They’re very strict at Croft I understand too.

Last time TVRCC Tees Valley Region tried to take part with the JDC track day, we were told that it was a 110db drive past but we arranged for a pre track day meet with the circuit management with almost every model of TVR we had for 'scrutineering'.

It was a static 105db noise limit ......... and we all failed !!!

We did however get some parade lap sessions, still a great day though.

Sorry guys I may have been mistaken with the noise level, it may have been as low as 88db for the Jag day.

Sorry for any scares.

Last time we did Croft with Javelin, it was 105 static.
We failed first test because the car was cold and popping a bit, they allowed us to warm up and re test passing g at 103.

Always do the noise test with a warm engine. If I am driving to the circuit I try to drive straight into the noise test on arrival.
I also have a theory that all the junk still in the boot on arrival helps to muffle the boom box effect a little.

They’re very strict at Croft I understand too.
Or follow the link and see the requirements. No strickter than Cadwell the other week.

Fair enough; I wouldn't be going anyway but hope you all enjoy the day.
